A donation quilt for abolishing human trafficking

I have a soft spot for donation quilts and this one I said YES to immediately!

A lady called me or texted me that her group made a quilt to donated and help against human trafficking!

I never heard of a need for quilts for that but I was all over it!!

Her group made the top and was looking for someone to long arm quilt for them and they had asked several places and were turned down but not me! I was happy to long arm this for them!!

I quilted a large paisley design all over it and it’s actually using a very faint variegated white thread, but even on the spool it’s hard to tell.

They picked it up this weekend- and I gave them a few quilts to donate too, since I’m not part of a guild anymore, I have to find other places to donate quilts to, so they got a few 🙂

They also brought me a little gift as a thank you! I’ve never had a willow tree figure or ornament before but recognized it, very cute and I’ll hang it on our Christmas tree and think of the fight against human trafficking.

The foundation the quilt is going to is Changing Destinies Ministry

I believe they will raffle the quilt off, not sure how with Covid, but they’ll let me know when it happens.

I’m happy I was able to contribute a little bit 🙂

  1. Good for you, Bea! That quilt is so catchy! Just goes to show that we don’t need intricate patterns to make something that looks so nice.

  2. How very kind and generous of you. Such a beautiful quilt made even more stunning with your lovely quilting. And, for what a great cause that is so often overlooked. Bless you.
