A batik Bargello wall hanging

Back in July I found my last leftover from being an ambassador for Island Batik for several years- I found a 2 1/2″ roll or part of it- I think it was leftover from the quilt I had sent to McCall’s or one of those magazines and then when they went almost bankrupt they cancelled one magazine and sent the quilt back to me, anyways I guess I had 12 strips or so leftover so I made this bargello top, I just “winged” it.

Then I waited for the right backing and binding, I did get a brown backing and quilted it with a variegated tan and brown and a curved design in QCT5 and made 3 big loops and it worked out perfectly!

I then waited to get some solid black for the binding and now I finally got it!

The quilt measures 23″ x 30″ and will be a cute wall hanging!

  1. Nicely done Bea, that came out great. I have quite a bit of IB left, not sure I used any this year. But it will get used in time, no worries!!
