Congratulations on your anniversary, Bea!
Your post reminded me that October of this year was my first time to set foot on American soil as a 9-year-old. It was an excitingacc adventure to get on a boat and come to America where everyone wore “patent leather shoes”. People of a certain age will know what I am referring to. The many changes and opportunities that came to me by being accepted, to come to America are endless. I must than the military for feeding us in a displaced persons camp. Without them, we would have starved for sure. I thank this country every day to let me, and my sisters and parents have this opportunity. Sieglinde
that’s so sweet, I think people like us REALLY appreciate this country more than people who were born here, who take it for granted!
