Sorry I’ve been MIA this whole week
On the 20th we went to the beach for 4 days, Bjorn brought his roommate for the weekend, then Nirah left and Bjorn stayed with us until Tuesday, we drove home, ended up needing groceries so figured we’d have the “fancy” Christmas dinner for Christmas eve instead and then do a nice brunch for Christmas Day and not really cook for dinner. Then on the 26th Dan and I celebrated out 26th anniversary, we went to lunch and our friends’ house. So we’ve just been GO GO GO. New Year’s eve we’re having two families over for dinner too from our old church.
This is Bjorn and Niraj (kind of pronounced “near-as”, he’s from Nepal and Bjorn and him were roommates at Wingate)
We brought a gingerbread house KIT also because I don’t know how much Christmas stuff Niraj has experienced, the kids had fun doing it 🙂
Beautiful sunrise! The weather was dry but COLD!
We got home Christmas Eve day
Since we decided on a Christmas Even fancy dinner, we did it Danish Style, with a pork roast and fat back, then potatoes, sweetened baby carrots and I made a parsley sauce/gravy.
Christmas day the guys came over at 6.30 to open presents with us.
Anja is obsessed with Pokemon!
I got Bjorn a big lego set (Deku tree) and ordering from lego.com is great because you often get free stuff, we got a record player (which I gifted to Dan because he just got into record player for his birthday- and more records for Christmas) Sonja got a train set and then we purchased an Animal Crossing set for Anja and a Mona Lisa for Solveig- from Costco.
Sonja also got this miniature house KIT, it’s a milk carton
