It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Solveig and I went to a cookie decorating event and Sonja made me Candy cane earrings.
Dan is really enjoying his record player with the amps and speakers he built a while ago.
His office is still in our dining room, but it works and we never really used the formal dining room anyways and with our kitchen remodel the big table is there next to it and we can easily fit 8 people there for dinner, so I don’t see a need for changing anything.
My long arm is getting fixed, I’ve had to SKIN a quilt on there- I haven’t done that in years and it took about a week because it’s slow and hurts my back, though I tried different things, sitting, standing etc.
This week we went to the zoo, it was a day where it was cloudy and not too cold, it rained before going and stopped right when we got there and then started again when we left, it was perfect and there were almost nobody at the zoo, some animals were hiding or inside, but the ones we DID see were up close to the fences.
Asheboro (NC) Zoo won best ZOO in the country for 2024! It has the biggest natural habitats for the animals so it’s a lot of walking and there’s really only ONE animal that looks closed in, the rest look “happy” and that’s why we love going, the animals have so much space to move around that you may not see each one at the visit but then you might the next time.
