It’s December!

We’ve started Advent Calendars, which I do for the kids every year!

When all 4 of them lived at home I bought a somewhat big LEGO set then sat down and split it up into 24×4 steps following the manual so that each day they’d build a little each and it would be done by Christmas Eve!

This year I did 4 different things, for Anja I purchased a pokemon advent calendar on Amazon and she’s super excited to open it every day.

For Sonja I got a gel nail polish set and packed them up with 1 or 2 each day, I didn’t know that you can only cure it with UV light! I don’t know how I feel about that……

For Solveig I got a lego set and split it up, she has no clue what it is yet.

For Bjorn I got a cat toy advent calendar and he says his 2 orange cats love it!

 

We DID get a tiny bit of snow the other night, just a bit that stuck on the roof and cars.

Dan got me a new laptop as an early Christmas present and it’s SO much nicer and faster! Of course it took some time moving stuff over and re-installing things, but I’m happy about it! I really tried to work with picture software that’s built in, but gave up, instead I got out an old photoshop 7 CD and with an external hard-drive, installed it, it’s just SO much better! I’m open to suggestions though, I tried something in google photos but moving them to blog posts, I still have to download the pictures and edit, so…..

My long arm is still not working great, I called the shop I got it from years ago and the guy might be coming out next week, I’ve tried everything I can think of, but the bobbin thread is SUPER tight on the back, no matter what I do helps it, I even ordered a new bobbin case and because it’s factory set, it was even tighter, I’m supposed to then adjust the top thread to pull the bobbin toward the top but it doesn’t do squat, it’s extremely frustrating…. I’ve been eyeing an APQS Millie, but with automation software, it’s so much $$$$ and I still want to fix mine if I should resell it!
