Sickness is still lingering in the house!
Grandparents are still somewhat ok, thanks for those of you reaching out to me/us! I’ve kind of taken a backseat on all of this, Dan is there on weekends and Renee our CNA is there Monday afternoon to Friday afternoon. One tells me everything, the other tells me nothing, it’s frustrating both ways. Even though I’m not there, I still feel like we’re all stuck, hate to say prisoners, because we can’t plan much, since I don’t want to be out on a trip or something and get “the call”, it’s such a waiting game.
Our Vegetable garden has gone to weeds or rather TOMATO plants! I don’t know where the random tomato plants are coming from, in the planters I know why, because if a tomato was bad I just dropped it back into the planter, but in this vegetable garden, it’s new this year and it’s just pumpkins and watermelon (and sunflowers)
instead of being protected by the weeds, the watermelon would rather grow onto the patio! (look at the big ones near the grass)
I tried my hand again at sourdough buns, they came out rather small and dense, still good, but….. I think the first proofing wasn’t long enough.
It’s so much easier to just add some sourdough starter in the bread machine with a regular bread recipe!
And Sonja made Apple Cider “Donuts” we don’t have a donut pan so she made sort of cupcakes (First Picture)
I’ve started a lot of new projects this week, but don’t really have any new pictures, except this one when I cleaned out my Juki!
