It’s been a busy week for all of us!
Last weekend we had VBS at our church
Sonja and I were helpers and Anja attended
The theme was “Firm foundation in Jesus” so construction themed. Each kid got a tool belt and then at each station they got a new tool to add to it.
I was able to wash and sort of fabrics to match up for new projects- two for BOB dies and 1 for a new pattern… MAYBE a QAL???
Wednesday Sonja turned 12 and we went to a mall with friends, this mall is further away and we haven’t gone to it in over 10 years! But it had a BUILD-A-BEAR store!
Sonja named her Long Horn cow “Cinnamon” and it got a fall pumpkin shirt and a pumpkin Latte- because every cow obviously needs that! LOL
AND Sonja finally got her ears pierced!! All the friends have that already but I grew up with a rule that I had to be 18 because then I’d be a legal adult and I can do whatever I want… when I turned 18 I forgot about it and then when I turned 30 I figured I was an adult and got mine done…..LOL… so it was time for Sonja to do it, she’s old enough to know it’ll hurt and to take the responsibility to clean it and take care of it.
When Sonja was done, the lady asked if anyone else wanted it and Solveig said she wanted it, I had no idea! but happy she wants to do more girly stuff like this 🙂
After a while at the mall we took the girls home and had Costco pizze and homemade cake
and one of the girls stayed the night, the others left around 8pm, so it was a fun day!
Dan had to go to his parents’ house too at 8 to relieve Renee because her husband had an appointment early the next morning.
We’re going to move Solveig back to Meredith college too as her classes start the 21st (Bjorn’s birthday)
and we’re starting homeschooling on the 19th!
