Our 2023/2024 school year is over! We’ve finished 6th and 3rd grade and the girls have also done their End of grade testing online, so now it’s officially summer for them!!
It’s been 2 weeks since my in-laws have moved in with us and we’re getting more into a rhythm, it’s hard though, when you have grandpa with dementia asking the same questions over and over again and grandma very weak with heart failure, so she some times has enough of all the questions and yells at him and he doesn’t understand and I have to go and separate them like two toddlers. Then later grandpa will be so super sweet to her and say that he can’t live without her, that he’ll die soon too. They love each other but can’t stand each other, it’s very odd! One moment I feel frustrated with one person and sympathy for the other, then 5 minutes later it’s the opposite.
I try to escape upstairs to sew but I don’t get much done, or I bring my laptop downstairs to write patterns or just play games and then listen to audiobooks, I just finished this one about WW2 and Denmark, it was very interesting and a good book, but I irked at the translations or names and locations, ha ha.
