Last weekend was Scholar’s day at Meredith so I went with Solveig and parents only stayed an hour and then I left and came back at dinner time, she had to bring her art stuff and interview for an art scholarship and then another interview for the Honor’s scholarship (which I think are different levels?! we should hear something mid March)
It’s been almost spring weather all week, so we’ve spent time outside and Anja loves to ride around on her quad.
Sonja has worked on a 4 week project for homeschooling about writing about our state, she did an essay and we got a bunch of books but she was not that into it, so instead I had her make a poster board for NC and with her research she drew a bunch of stuff and added her essay, so I guess she still learned something 😉
I started another leader and ender project with the Priscilla die from Accuquilt, I love that it cuts tiny pieces!! I’m sort of “winging” it.
I cut enough for 80 blocks which each finish 6″
here’s the beginning of them
This is my general idea, teal “tips” and my teal/turquoise scrap bin is very varied and overflowing, then orange side triangles and solid white for the center of the blocks, which should tie them all together. I don’t know if I’ll add a border or not, we’ll see when I get done or maybe I should put the fabric aside now?
