Another busy week!

well isn’t that always how it is before Christmas!? I’ve pretty much ordered all the Christmas presents for the kids already and they are slowly being delivered and wrapped and put under the tree 🙂

This weekend we’re going to watch the Nutcracker Ballet as Sonja’s friend has a part in it and I’ve actually never seen it in person, neither has the kids, so us GIRLS are going this afternoon.

Tomorrow night is our church’s Christmas party and Talent show, then next weekend we’re going to the beach for the weekend, Chewy and friends are watching the house 🙂

This week Dan is off from work, so he decided to repaint our kitchen, I did like the blueish gray but we were originally thinking something darker but because the kitchen is open into the living room we can’t have dark walls in there, so after talking about it, we decided on this pale yellow, now Dan is not sure about it, he doesn’t HATE it but doesn’t love it, I like it…. I think it’ll grow on us 🙂

we also got the hood back up and the fancy top for it and the fake chimney, now the chimney part is supposed to go up to the ceiling so that means cutting into the crown molding! so… we’ll wait on that a bit.

Now we need to figure out what to do about a backsplash… originally we had thought of tiling the whole wall in this Spanish/Italian looking tile but now we don’t want that, instead just something behind the stove- eventually….

I got a new foot and a new bobbin case for my long arm- Dan really thinks I should into another BETTER long arm machine, but they are so expensive BUT I have my eye on an APQS which I think is the best you can get!? I’m tired of upgrading every 4 years or so. I don’t NEED it, but……

My Juki QVP is fine and I love the automation software, there’s just little picky things I’m not happy with, but maybe it’s just me?!

I saw a demo of a handiquilter last week and was NOT impressed! and I know Tin Lizzie is not good either, the company is actually closing.

So I’m considering a Gammill or APQS, I thought they were pretty equal but the more I look into APQS, the more I like it….. we’ll see. I’m not there yet.
