Another crazy busy week!!
Every year on Black Friday, we set up for Christmas!
Dan also put up a pendant light fixture in our new kitchen and then I mentioned that I really can’t see much when I sew at night because a few years ago I changed the layout of the room and the light above my sewing table is not at all centered and it’s a muted light and to the side, so I HINTED that I wanted a big BRIGHT light, and Dan just HAPPENED to have another light from the garage, when he replaced his lights in the garage he used 3 of these and could only buy them in sets of 2, so…. VOILA I got a new light! It’s AWESOME!! it’s bright and actually it has 3 settings, not a dimmer, but each time I turn off the light and on again, it goes to the next setting, it’s bright, then daylight then warm light, I like the daylight setting 🙂
Then Wednesday after taking my in-laws to a doctor’s appointment, I swung by Bjorn’s house and I hadn’t been there in a long time, last weekend he had mentioned something about his house being messy, anyways I popped in….. and…. of course he hadn’t trained his cups and dished to go in the dishwasher yet, the sink was filled! he felt embarrassed and helped me clean up, I really didn’t give him a hard time, I told him, it’s a bachelor life, but IF it was like this in the summer, he’d get flies and critters in the house, and he DID have that in the summer. We loaded the dishwasher, cleaned the kitchen and did 3 loads on laundry, he vacuumed the house and put board games away and we tied up a lot.
He was working from home so he’d pause and check on stuff and come back.
After that we made a walmart list and then on the way he took me out for burgers- I think it’s the first time he bought ME dinner!
We also watched a Netflix movie called “Whiplash” together, Dan and I had watched it recently, it’s about a kid in a music school and being verbally abused by the teacher…. I thought Bjorn would like the movie, because he used to play in the middle school band (with a very NICE teacher btw)
At night I had to go to a meet and greet in town (2 blocks away from Bjorn’s house) to talk to the new owner of the finders and seekers emporium.
So I was out of the house from 11am to 9pm! it was nice to get some alone time with Bjorn and talk about different stuff and help him out a bit!
