Wow, January is almost over!
We’re about half way thru out homeschool year!
Anja’s Hands On science in the last 2 weeks has been to watch bread get moldy, hubby did this with her, you were supposed to get a slice of bread and rub it with your unwashed hands, then one with clean hands and one untouched, then a few more slices rubbed on different surfaces in the house, our most DISGUSTING surface was the garage door, which is our main entrance! and to speed things up each slice was in a sandwich bag and there was water spritzed in there and then we hung it all in a bag in a window to get sun to really get the mold growing! Fascinating and gross!!
Anja also had a hands on history craft this week which was a log cabin! I read from other Sonlighters to use a hot glue gun and it seemed to work great!
When we do school Sonja LOVES to do crafts while listening to me read and sometimes it gets to be quite a LOT! here she’s doing jewelry beading, then Swiffer jumped up and walked on the case for the beads and beads went flying then he didn’t care and sat on her homework page!
Such is the life of homeschooling 🙂
