2023 quilt project list week 17

Last weekend we went to a community event called Clyde Fest, it’s about a local artist who makes these wooden critters with maybe bottle cap eyes or whatever recycled stuff, every year they throw him this “party” and usually it’s been muddy and hard to park, but now we have an agriculture center so it was nice and flat and easy to park and FREE! so we did that after church on Sunday.

Monday was Grandma’s 92nd birthday, Sonja made this cake for her and we all decorated it and brought it over Monday night, then Wednesday she had a heart surgery scheduled to get a new battery in her pacemaker! I took her to the hospital and hubby stayed with his dad because he has dementia and sure enough he probably asked 20 times where grandma was! At the hospital it got delayed a few hours but otherwise everything went well and she recovered an hour and then was sent home! She’s sore but can walk around and do basic stuff.

I have started a few new projects, a jelly roll more grown up version of baby dreams

 

and cut with my 6″ QUBE instead of templates

and then I started a scrappy version of “it’s a compliment” we’ll see how it ends up, I’m not too sure about it yet…..

we made Swiffer catnip tea and he LOVED it!
