2023 quilt project list week 16

I have been hand sewing more EPP flowers, no real plan with them yet but it’s nice to sit outside and do some hand sewing.

I’ve also done some REGULAR sewing this week, because we planned on going strawberry picking with friends from church, Anja and Sonja really wanted some skirts, first Anja picked out her fabrics and then Sonja was a small pink skirt and I must have cut it wrong or something, but it got REALLY short, but instead she put on a while sort of poofy skirt underneath (which has shorts build in) so now the skirt “works”

Then we went strawberry picking!! It was a lot of fun and they are a Christian farm and don’t spray and encourage eating while out there too!

On the way home we went by the PNC branch where Bjorn works and gave him some strawberries and I FINALLY got a picture of him there!!

On Monday my MIL is turning 93 and on Wednesday she’s having heart surgery, well getting new batteries put in her pacemaker, so I’ll take her and be at the hospital and Dan will have to be with his dad, because even this week I took my MIL to the cardiologist and we left grandpa at home, by the time we came back he was outside their house with a note in his hand (with her name and cell #) he didn’t know where she was! – he has dementia! poor guy.

Grandma also had 2 fender benders a few weeks ago and we have the car in for repairs now and do errands for them, Solveig even goes there on Mondays to take grandma grocery shopping, but at the cardiologist I usually don’t go inside but did this time and I let it slip about her little accidents and the Dr. pretty much gave grandma a verbal spanking! saying here they are taking care of her heart and she just goes out and could throw it all away!? that it’s time to give up driving!! it’s tough…. but we sort of agree, we had told her that the car is in time out at least until after the surgery, so…..
