I’ve been cutting up these lovely fabrics from Michael Miller Fabrics this week and that’s been my main project, other than that we’ve been very busy!

I also got these goodies from Connecting threads as I’m going to be publishing a lot of charm square patterns soon!

Last weekend hubby took out this window in our kitchen

Made the hole bigger…

And then installed THIS window! (I helped lift it into place)

WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! it looks amazing and there’s so much more light coming in, I just want to stand there and clean the dishes all day!

(Not really but you get my point)

Tuesday we went to the Zoo with friends from church, it was a perfect day and we were there for 6 hours!

Sonja had a friend over last weekend too and they worked on their Dino masks/ dragon costumes for Halloween

Then Thursday the butcher block counter top for our Island came- Dan made the island and painted it and built a drawer for it on the other side.

Now we still need new countertops and because the window is flush with the counter, Dan can’t do the indoor trim until that’s installed, then backsplash and finish the flooring.

Plus I really want a coffee station!!

The kitchen is so much nicer now and the flow is better and more usable, even though it might have a drawer or two less, it’s just so much better and we saved so much $$$$ by doing it ourselves 🙂

Enough bragging here about my AWESOME husband!!
