This week for homeschooling Sonja is learning about Vikings (which is fun because I’m from Denmark)
One of the books is a “time travel” book and you’re traveling to meet a family from different eras, here it’s the vikings and first we were introduced to the family, we giggled because the viking kids were names Olaf and Sven (from Frozen) and then Bjorn- who’s 19 in the book! (my son’s name and he’s 18)
and then here it shows a longhouse and the different chores they all do and where is Bjorn? Sleeping!! that’s totally Bjorn…. btw Bjorn means bear in Danish so maybe he’s just hibernating 🙂
We have good days and frustrating days, Sonja really HATES school, but now I’m trying to incorporate more fun and art stuff…
I’ve left FB and Twitter and I’m in MeWe now, also have a Beaquilter “group” there you can follow
If I worked on the quilt recently it’s in RED

I’m sorry to hear Sonja hates school. Is she bored? She is so smart, I’m wondering if she approached the teacher to see if she could be offered a faster learning pace? Or, maybe she could teach a lesson once a week. Could be good for her to prepare a teaching plan, as well as teach it to her fellow students and with her teacher’s supervision I bet the teacher would love it too! But I do like your approach to help her find a creative outlet.
You went on a quilt bender….awesome finishes for January. Homeschooling is not easy but it is so worth it. At least you know what she is learning.
