This week on Wednesday we had a NICE day, it was 70 degrees!!
I took the girls to Hobby Lobby and then the park.
Solveig is doing in person school on Monday and Tuesday and online on Thursday and Friday, so Wednesday was a perfect day for an outing! and with Sonja being home-schooled her schedule is flexible!
It’s been cold and raining for weeks (no snow) so everything was muddy, it was tricky on the zip line! Sonja would be ok sliding down, then we had a long stick and she’d reach for it and hold it and we’d pull her back up, but Anja was too scared to just hold on with one hand, so Solveig had to come to the rescue and she only got ONE boot all muddy 😉
One of the things we got at Hobby Lobby was stuff for slime! (again)
I really want to rant about the school system and the lock downs, as we’re going on a year soon! It’s really hurting school kids!
Our school board voted to NOT open up with plan A (full time) for K-5….Little ones are just not learning online! I’m glad I’m homeschooling! Then older kids too, I know several high school kids who are doing poorly too, some are seniors and they may not graduate! Running away from home or just giving up!? these poor kids!! There gotta be another way! I don’t like Solveig going to school and wearing a mask for 7hrs and just 2 days a week, no talking without a mask, no hugging, no talking at lunch (because masks are down) it’s like prison! I’m glad she’s a GREAT student and a great book learner, so I’m not worried about my own kids, but I worry about other kids and teens around us….What long term effect is this going to have on them? (dropping out, hating school, not going to college, suicide??)
