I won’t discuss politics this week on MY blog 🙂
Instead I’ll show this fun science experiment we did last week with the Sonlight Kindergarten curriculum, it’s about Reptiles and how reptile eggs are soft and squishy, unlike bird/chicken eggs that have a hard outer shell so the mommy bird can lay on them and not break the egg, here we took a regular raw egg WITH the shell and put it in vinegar for a few days, after 1 day the shell was dissolved so we had to clean that and put the egg in a new glass of vinegar, the egg also got bigger and squishy!! it was very weird!
Day 4 or so we got impatient and wanted to see what happened to the inside of it
It was completely RAW, sure didn’t feel like it but it just went SPLAT all over the board the counter!! and look at the leftover white membrane?? gross and fascinating!!
The weather has been nicer too, we had a few days or rain then cold then warmer again, but still fun to go for a walk!
Our neighborhood is right next to a cow pasture so we often walk over and say HI to the super timid cows, this this time Chewy actually touched noses with one of the cows thru the gate/fence… then when we left Sonja (9yo) saw the big daddy cow-bull jump on the mommy like a piggy back ride she thought, I said, ah no, that’s not it, he’s trying to mate with her and maybe have more baby cows with her, she was shocked! LOL
I’ve been slow sewing, we had 2 days off from school and college and Bjorn was here too, then me and the girls got sick with a cold and sore throat, we’re much better now, don’t think it was Covid at all, just a cold or mild strep?? anyways, we’re all better.
