2021 Project list week 17

Today is my mother-in-law’s 90th Birthday and we’re all going out for lunch.

Have you ever seen a sideways rainbow? it must be some sort of reflection, it was just odd to see the other day.

This week Solveig started going to school 4 days a week (no Wednesday) and Kronk came into my studio and hung out for about a minute- VERY exposed to the D.O.G! just long enough to catch some rays 🙂 -Yeah he’s fat, but let’s NOT hurt his ego by telling him that! ha ha

I finally heard news that MAYBE NC will open up 100% no masks (maybe encouraged inside or groups but not outside…) June 1st! We’ll see if it happens or not, I kinda think it’s a carrot being dangled in front of us to give us hope and like an A$$/Donkey we’ll follow it and it’ll get moved out more and more.

Sonja is doing an Art class thru our county and it’s 1 hour and she has to wear a mask, I had her signed up for a jump rope class too but once I found out they required masks too, I pulled her out of the class and got a refund, I don’t believe in kids wearing a mask at all and especially not while exercising! that’s just BAD!! It’s proved that kids don’t really get Covid, if they do it’s mild, and if they are not sick they don’t transmit it either, so hence another reason why I’m homeschooling and the way things are going I’m NOT sending her back at all and Anja will be homeschooled next year as well, she’s actually working with little work books already and playing educational games online.

Solveig does wear a mask at school and she’s fine with it, they are reminded about distancing and not touching each other, washing hands etc and eat lunch in their classrooms, she’s at an early college and there’s only 30 students in each grade and this week was the first time both 9th and 10th graders were together at school, since Jan she would go Mon. and Tues. and the freshmen would go Thurs. and Fri. Now they are all together, so if it’s the same 60 kids at the school, why are they off on Wednesday? I don’t get it…….. I’m so tired of it all and frustrated. And don’t get me going about the vaccines!! Well I’ll get off my soapbox, have a look below.

If I worked on the quilt recently it’s in RED

  1. Enjoyed your post. Always encouraging to hear from non-cool-aid drinking sane people.

    1. Amen to Jane! Loved this post, the quilts are absolutely wonderful. And the black cat? How I miss my little fat black cat that thought she WAS a dog, was very fond of our dog at the time, greeting each other nose to nose every morning. Thanks for a great quilt show!!! Loved it.

  2. So many pretty quilts. I really like cats and they’re so entertaining but my daughter is allergic.
In regards to masks I hate seeing anyone wearing a mask when trying to workout and definitely kids.
Thank goodness Texas has lightened up on all the restrictions and allowed people to make their own decisions.
I still wear mine in most public places but not when I go to physical therapy. I can’t breathe.
    Have a great week.

Perhaps you should inform the parents I know whose 13 year old son died of Covid that he really didn’t get Covid and he’s really not dead. Check the science before you make comments like that.

Children do get Covid and they can transmit it even if they are asymptomatic.
