2021 project list week 16

This week has been both busy and slow, busy about doing STUFF, slow as far as quilting goes.

a few weeks ago we got Bananagrams and Solveig LOVES it, so whenever she asks if I want to play, I usually DO, I loved playing board games with Bjorn and miss that and Solveig is not into strategy board games but she loves words so I knew this game would interest her, sometimes she just sits down by herself and uses the same rules by only adding one letter at a time and it takes her a long time to finish then, here’s one she did the other day. Often we do it outside too at our patio table.

Since the weather is getting better we’re going to start growing “stuff” again, this time Dan got some metal feeding troughs and will fill them with soil and these corrugated pipes at the bottom, it sounds fancy and it’s something he’ll do, we took the little ones with us and went a bit overboard getting stuff for this garden, Anja and Sonja could barely fit and Anja said “I don’t know if this will work!” LOL- It did!

Wednesday we went to the Zoo, we haven’t been since last spring and back then everything indoors was closed, this time it was open though they still have MASK signs up everywhere.

I finished a secret project for McCall’s and mailed it off to them, then 2 projects for love-sew and we started homeschooling again this week, but playing a bit of catch up as Sonja wants to finish the same time as Solveig, so I might double up one day in math and history on another day and keep going until we’re back on track.

Oh and Tuesday I paid a gazillion $ for work on Anja’s teeth! still more to go, but the next big bill is a month away now. SIGH! Why are dentists so expensive and insurance doesn’t cover squat?? unless you don’t have a job of course, and kids are on medicare or whatever it’s called then dental work is free! not fair in my book!
