Nothing unlucky about block #13, it’s the easiest block in the whole quilt and you’ll be making 2 of them!
A four patch is so simple and versatile!
This is the smaller block that you can make with the QUBE set, so it’s a 1/2 block sized.
You’ll use fabrics A and D and die #2 (small square)
Since we’re making 2 blocks, cut out (4) of each fabric with die #2
Sew one of each together like this, if you’re using directional fabrics, then lay out the pieces like this before sewing together.
Iron the seams open.
Have fabric A at the bottom left (and top right)- but it really doesn’t matter.
then sew into four patches
and sew the 2 four patches together into a row that’s 2×4 like this
Here’s my 4 versions.
My 6” and 9” version have fabric A be the darkest fabric, where the 8” and 12” version have A be a light fabric, and these two also use directional fabrics!
easy peasy, right?
Here’s blocks from last week’s participants
