2012 year in review with lots of collages

I can’t believe tomorrow is 2013!!

I was looking back at my quilt pictures and up until Nov I DID do a collage of the month, so I did the last two and will show them all here, and also show my FAVORITE project for that month 🙂

January

the doggie quilt for a neighbor who was expecting a boy.

February

Snowmen runner is done, mini charm top, tulip dotted block for guild- won all the blocks, a jelly roll RACE quilt top with 2 1/2″ black squares in between, asian looking quilt, own and hot pads for new neighbors, fabrics balls, asian lotus quilt with applique, appliqued flowers, mini 4 seasons quilt, snowmen runner again.

March:

Bunny runner from CT, Bonnie Hunter’s Orca mystery quilt, owl, snowstorm quilt for my mom, wonky house blocks, tea bag holders, dress for a friend’s daughter, blue flower sampler table runner,

(I couldn’t show it in the collage then because it wasn’t published yet, but now it IS)

My first time being published, and I’m loving it!!

April:

favorite project:

I actually finished 3 quilts that month, but this kaleidoscope quilt is one of my favorite patterns to make, using the SMART plate template, this was for another neighbor who was pregnant and expecting a girl, the nursery has a Dr Seuss theme.

May:

June:

customer’s stained glass quilt, blue star quilt top, TT fabrics competition quilt, wonky star block, berry squares quilt, customers star quilt, wonky house quilt, flying geese in a ring blocks, corded basket, fabric ball, meeting Beth Hayes and Sherri from McCall’s!, stuffed owl, Lorax quilt, strippy quilt, lots of fabric balls

favorite project:

This blue strippy quilt was just so much fun to make and used ALL scraps 🙂

July:

owl hot pads and owl quilt pictures from McCall’s, wonky house quilt, lil’ twister quilt, star block, berry squares, Peanut, foundation pieced flowers, star blocks, owls, wonky block and more fabric balls

favorite project:

Wonky houses, these blocks were part of the WONKY block swap I was part of this year, and these houses were MY choice for blocks, I loved getting these blocks back that month and opening each package up and seeing the fun houses, I finally got the whole thing done in July 🙂

August:

Chipmunk block, Hidden forest pattern, baby SONJA is born!!

September:

Fall pillow, tree skirt, pastel block, customer quilt, kaleidoscope star and snowball quilt top, owl, modern mystery round robin, pastel top, customer quilt, customer quilt, red white and blue star quilt top, chipmunk block, customer quilt, customer quilt and pillow again

favorite project:

This fall pillow, which was two blocks but one got crooked or SOMETHING happened when I sewed them together into a runner, so I cut off one block and turned it into a pillow.

block is made using a Go! die, eleanor burns star block.

October:

women of the bible BOW, again BOW, pumpkin pillow, wonky block, drunkards path top, customer’s quilt- no my neighbor GAVE me the top to quilt and keep!, mug rug tops, mini tumbler quilt for Sonja’s car seat, bird block, rainbow squares, owl, BOW(2), bubble gum top before applique, lorax quilt

favorite project:

I know I’m partial to things I make for my kids or the house, this mini quilt I look at EVERY day, it’s in the car to cover up Sonja in her carseat, it’s made from another charm pack that was used for her crib quilt, designed in EQ7 and printed the mini tumbler shapes to use as templates.

November:

Bible BOW(2), purse for blog hop, deer block for hidden forest, owls, MY modern mystery round robin quilt top, houses pillow for blog hop, BOW, “birds” quilt top

favorite project:

The house pillow for Sew we quilt’s blog hop, it was fun to make and I loved that it ended up being SO big, my daughter quickly “adopted” it.

December:

platypus(es), bible BOW, more platypus-es or platypi.

Ipad cover for craft show, bible BOW, Bonnie hunter’s mystery quilt progress, red white and blue star quilt, more mystery blocks.

favorite project:

These platypus stuffed animals were so CUTE and fun to make, I sold two at the craft show, gave two away for a gift exchange, gave 2 to my kids and I guess I have two left, no I think I gave another away at the craft show.

  3. You put me to shame by a long shot. I've figure out how you do it all though…..you've been cloned and there are actually 3 of you! So sorry that I'm revealing your big secret but the quilting public deserves to know. LOL
